How to Learn from Mistakes
I don’t mind learning from mistakes, be it my own or other people’s. If you can deal with the humiliation and make sure that there is no lasting damage then it’s one of the easiest ways to hold information, as it’s an expererience based memory – ie part of the memory was you actually taking action.
This however doesn’t mean you can just go head first into any situation without thinking, those who benefit the most from their mistakes are those who take damage control and plan steps to only make that mistake once.
Tejyan over at PickTheBrain has some great tips on how turn mistakes into positive experiences.
